Practicing at home: the small details

I'm partial to practicing with soft or low music, typically without words. I find when I do practice to a popular playlist or even multiple songs I get caught in the words sometimes singing along or I my mind associates experiences and memories with it... Or even just the pause between songs I can find 'distracting' so I searched out music that is more than an hour in length. Usually I don't listen to the full song, it's not really the point. I just want something that is uninterrupted and peaceful so that I am free to be in my own body. I am essentially trying to limit distraction and increase simple enjoyment.

This week I've been tuning in to this Youtube video. It's not had enough plays to have commercials, which is also a big deal... no one wants to listen to a shampoo or 5-minute long superfoods commercial during practice... (or maybe you do?!).. Anyways, check out the link below for a soft and heart soothing song to play in the background while you stand in your own energy of greatness immersed in the grace of your yoga practice.

With love,

Brittaney
