I wish there was a way for me to clear your passage; its up to you, to each of us individually, to make our own magic... I hope you'll see through the mental blocks and :
make your dreams reality.

Travel to NICARAGUA for a 'holiday' -- call it a yoga retreat, call it a vacation, refer to it as an opportunity to contribute to the well being of other people or say it's a mother-daughter trip... if it's something you want to do, let's make it happen.

Why?
Vacationing at Monty's Beach Lodge relieved me of the regret I felt after my last holiday in Cancun back in 2007 (yes, I didn't travel to Monty's until 2017, I held the shame for a decade!) -- I remember looking out from my unstained white balcony and seeing over the walls of the 4 star resort to see a shack, what I processed was a HOUSE, a family HOME!** I stood there, dumbfounded by my own ignorance to the marble floors and smiling employees that anything different existed in a comforting, commercially welcoming, warm and foreign place. The cost I paid to be at this fancy, superbly clean but mediocre food, cheap unnecessary booze and bubble music parties suddenly seemed absolutely outrageous... I realized I don't believe any of this was important AT ALL.. I mean, I don't ever clean my window sills at home and my food is mediocre! Why was I there, in their home (city/country)? Was my presence there hindering someone elses or was I/my money spent part of a good thing..?
**let me also make it clear that I don't judge the small home I saw assuming my home and way of life is better than that therefor the people occupying this home should have what I have; I consciously ask myself what purpose do I have here, what is my intent?**
I stopped "vacationing" like that. Any trip I went on thereafter was (nearly non existent but when I did).. a small non-chain hotel, hostel or a camping site.
Even to this day, I don't like the idea of travelling to these big company owned resort hotels... I'm in life for "the little guy" because the little guy is taking care of her family and the people who work for the little guy have good-injected into their lives being part of the operations.. their efforts are equal. the people are equal. That's what I believe. That's why I travel to Monty's Beach Lodge in Nicaragua.
Going to Monty's Beach Lodge your invested money is going to the little guy and real family units. The choice to visit a less travelled to location isn't to retreat your life and take advantage of the good features it offers... you travel to contribute to the well being of others and of yourself. Travel with purpose.
If you are wanting an escape from work or life in general, I get that, we feel we need it sometimes; it's because an underlying situation that is stirring within and, like it or not, we can never simply vacation it away.. BUT travelling to Nicaragua and experiencing the real life happenings will change your life. You'll experience sadness, and inspiration. Your capacity for love and tolerance will grow and everyday you can practice yoga, go surfing, nap in a hammock, get into adventure outings in the community and surrounding area... you can do anything you like! Travelling to Nicaragua may just provide the mental space and change of environment that will benefit you.. who knows, maybe you'll settle on the decision you've let haunt you for months or years.
It changed my life.
I hope you'll join me. You can read details here.
