Here’s what I am continuing to read and why:

The 5 love languages: After a chunk of a few days that had me, for the first time in a long while, feeling disconnected a friend suggested and offered me this book as a borrow. I knew it was something I needed to start when I had the space to really soak it in so I only read if it’s quiet around. It’s pragmatic and still sincere and sweet.

Healing with Whole Foods: This is a textbook, not a quick read. This is a life lesson in how to nutritionally (on a large scale) take care of yourself as a human… like you’ve never read or been taught ever before. It’s changed my ENTIRE perspective of how to by “healthy” food. I read it with a freshly sharpened pencil, possibly a highlighter and for sure my google search finders ready to read more… Changed. My. Thinking. {Also, note… I picked mine up from a used bookstore for minimal compared to cost, I would suggest this to put on your ‘to look for’ when browsing book stores and even consider borrowing from the library instead of buying it if you just want to casually read}.

My old 2013 notebook: I often carry old journals and notebooks around with me for periods of time. I revisit ideas I’ve scribbled down for decades, in a large range of details from my life experience… I have many ideas every day and a separate, strong drive to accomplish. I have found peace knowing that by keeping notebooks and journals that when I tell myself “oh you’ll come back to it” as a way to expect my full attention in the here and now of this present moment… I CAN ACTUALLY BELIEVE MYSELF. Because I keep track of it… the idea is seen, the expression of creativity is born, the seed planted…. Seriously. Life. Changing.

Funk & Wagnalls new standard encyclopedia of Universal Knowledge – volume XXIV treat – washings: Yes, an alphabetized encyclopedia; I think printed in 1973. I have multiple volumes of encyclopedias printed for different audiences, in different languages and from different time periods. I have read encyclopedias since I can remember. So, as an adult, I read the real rules of being a citizen of the world… we blindly accept so much in this life… I went on about this for a few hours so check out the separate post I made about Encyclopedias!
